The Dome

The Dome was actually part of a much larger piece, a Matte Painting showing the vienna skyline. but now after modeling and texturing most of the stuff and getting inspired by old paintings i went for some close up’s. well, most of it was crap, as in gettign to close. but with some tweaking i ended up with that. Master of Tortoises

This work of art is an expression of one of the famous paintings by Osman Hamdi Bey “Terbiyecisi Kaplumbaga – The Tortoise Trainer”. I tried to create a strong mood with light spreading to the general view. By the way, the master is the artist himself.  —Taha Alkan

Memory

I’m trying to present a girl who, in a hospital, recalls her beloved that she has lost. I intend to make the special meaning of this picture understandable at the first glance, so that you are able to picture the sweet memories they have ever had. I use HairFarm and Hairtrix to make hair, which is interesting. The edge of the dress I use to make the Max Path Deform modifier.I use the smoke made fume plugin man, and finally in Photoshop of synthesis.If it’s alright,I want to try to use a Max particle system performance ghost effect.  —Yonglin Yao

Let There Be Nerds!

This scene is about a famous hollywood director, for whom I have a great respect. Based on a moment of his trajectory that changed everything.Legend tells late in the seventies, he signed a contract in wich he traded a high salary for merchandising rights of his characters. This single decision made everything he’s pursued ever since suddenly possible, opening the gates for a whole new industry. And ultimately lead to my passion for Computer Graphics, the way that it is.  —Mauricio Salgueiro

Mafia Man

I wanted to create style of an old man. Kindd Mafia Style! Here is the final image which I used zbrush to sculpt, resurface and paint the textures. I used a simple base mesh and turned it into dynamesh. The textures are hand painted in zbrush and Final touch on the textures done in photoshop and I used maya+Mental Ray. Also used photoshop to comp the layers and corrections.  —Siamak Roshani
